The full schedule for spring games and broadcasts is as follows: The home game that afternoon will be on the radio, so if you’re jonesing for some Orioles that afternoon, you can still get to hear them. The only Orioles spring game that will not be either on TV, radio, or streamed online will be the road half of a simultaneous 1:05pm split squad on March 24. He is expected to be joined by a variety of guests over the course of these broadcasts, including “members of the Orioles front office, MASN and Orioles Radio Network broadcasters, Orioles beat reporters, and Orioles alumni.” That’s going to be a lot more fun than following beat writer tweets that taper off after the third inning. What’s new for this year, and a treat to any Orioles fan who has found the lack of broadcasts for spring training games to be a disappointment in the past, is that 16 out of the 17 games that aren’t on either MASN or the Orioles Radio Network will have digital streaming broadcast on and the MLB At Bat app.Īccording to the team’s press release, MASN’s Steve Melewski will serve as the play-by-play broadcaster for 16 games. This is the same number of games as aired on MASN and the radio network last spring.

Not all of the TV games are also on the radio: A total of 16 of the 33 games will be on one or the other. The team will broadcast seven games on MASN and 13 games on the Orioles Radio Network, starting with the first Grapefruit League game between the O’s and the Twins on February 23. The Orioles finally announced the spring training broadcast schedule on Wednesday evening.
